The Manchester Institute for Arts, Health and Social Change, Critical Research Collective begins with the energy and vision of the innovative and interdisciplinary culture of its community.  Drawing on internationally recognised creative and critical expertise in Arts for Health, the medical humanities and cultural disability studies, our research is outward looking, inclusive and evolving. We are committed to the development of collaborative, accessible and socially engaged research with both academic and community partners. Greater Manchester offers multiple opportunities for rich and innovative thinking. We will not be burdened by the complexities of institutional or conventional disciplinary boundaries, but will embrace the challenges and undertake research that has relevance to health and social change from multiple perspectives.

A SOCIAL GLUE

Clive Parkinson has been undertaking a piece of work funded by the Great Place scheme to explore the place of creativity, culture and the arts in all their forms across Greater Manchester. A Social Glue was published in May 2021. Find out about the online report and read it in full HERE.
