So who exactly are we? Instigated by Clive Parkinson, we are a collective of people who believe that the arts and culture are all part of the mix in a healthy, progressive society. We predominantly live or work in Greater Manchester and come form all sorts of different backgrounds, but we also embrace ideas and opportunities that contribute to our wider national and global community of interest. We are people who believe in the principles set out in The Manchester Declaration and will wherever possible or relevant, explore how culture and the arts might be enrich and inform sometimes seemingly disparate agendas. That said, “We acknowledge that the arts are not a panacea for all life's ills, but we assert that they provide opportunities to give voice to multiple perspectives of lived experience.” So do join us if you’re an ally here in Greater Manchester or further afield and who supports the vision set out in The Manchester Declaration.
